Rockford Illinois Chapter

Our Rockford Chapter History

Since our initiation we have raised enough funds to support a $450,000 two year human clinical trial at Mayo Clinic to find a new way to use bone marrow transplants to help lymphoma patients achieve a permanent remission of their blood cancer. That project ended in November of 2009 and could impact the lives of over 450,000 patients worldwide! The results should be available in early 2010!

We also funded a human clinical trial at University of Wisconsin Madison repurposing a device that has helped multiple sclerosis patients regain significant balance and walking function, as well as improve speech, sleep, memory and other MS symptoms! We are now raising additional funds for the next human trial to see if a home version of this device can help improve function even more!
